I strive to inspire curiosity
through hands-on learning
Leading Nature Scientist over six consecutive years taught me how to grow an idea into an impactful initiative. This experience strengthened my leadership organization, and communication skills while showing me how education can inspire curiosity and environmental awareness at a larger scale.
Project 01
Founder at Nature Scientist-Taipei, Taiwan
Founded Nature Scientist (NS) -named after my initials-an animal science education initiative with 6 consecutive years of teaching experience. Taught 50+ classes (up to 50 students per session) and designed bilingual (English/Mandarin) curriculums including a children’s book on animal behavior, ecology, and care. Led workshops for schools, camps, and community groups across Taipei, adapting different lessons for different age groups. Organized private educational events focused on hands-on, interactive learning. Managed all aspects of the program, including curriculum design, teaching, event coordination, and educational content creation.
“Science begins with curiosity and grows through hands-on discovery."

Project 02
Author & Publisher at Self-Publish
Created and authored How Do Baby Chicks Hatch?, a 23-page hardcover children's book that combines storytelling with science education. Inspired by my own experience hatching chicks, the book introduces young readers to incubation, egg development, temperature, humidity, and the chick hatching process through engaging illustrations, real photographs, and dedicated "Nathaniel's Science Corner" educational pages. Independently planned the content, coordinated the design process, and launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund printing and distribution. The project aims to make animal science accessible and engaging while encouraging curiosity and hands-on learning among children.
This project taught me how to transform a personal experience into an educational resource that could benefit others. I learned that communicating scientific concepts to young audiences requires creativity, clarity, and empathy. Through writing, editing, and preparing the book for publication, I developed stronger skills in science communication, project management, and entrepreneurship. Most importantly, the experience reinforced my belief that curiosity is the foundation of learning and that interactive, engaging experiences can inspire children to explore the natural world more deeply.
