I participated in field research experiences at Modern Dairy in Bengbu and Sun Valley in Chuzhou, Anhui, China, where I observed large-scale dairy and poultry production systems. During the visits, I learned about animal husbandry practices, food production processes, environmental management systems, and sustainability challenges within modern agriculture.

At Modern Dairy, I observed dairy cow management, feeding systems, milk production, and waste recycling practices. At Sun Valley, I learned about poultry care, feeding operations, and large-scale food processing systems. I also observed how both companies manage water usage, environmental conditions, hygiene, and waste treatment while maintaining large-scale production.

These experiences gave me firsthand exposure to the complexity of balancing animal welfare, environmental sustainability, and food production efficiency in modern agricultural systems.

This experience helped me better understand how animal agriculture operates on a large scale and the environmental challenges involved in modern food production. I learned that sustainable agriculture requires balancing animal welfare, resource management, environmental responsibility, and production efficiency at the same time. Observing waste recycling systems, water management, and animal care practices made me more aware of how science and technology are used to improve sustainability in agriculture. The experience also strengthened my interest in animal and environmental science by showing me how complex agricultural systems directly connect to food security, sustainability, and the relationship between humans, animals, and the environment.
